Activity navigation and preferences

Move between tabs, search for files and conversations, and choose which screen opens first.

Navigation and returning to the prompt

Select a row to see its details. A wide terminal shows the list and details side by side; in a narrow terminal, Enter opens the selected item and Esc returns to the list.

Leaving Activity returns to the Zynk prompt. Type quit there to exit Zynk.

Key: ↑ / ↓
At the main Activity view: Move between rows.

Key: Tab / Shift+Tab
At the main Activity view: Move to the next or previous visible tab.

Key: Enter
At the main Activity view: Open the selected item or use its main action. Check the bottom of the screen for that action.

Key: /
At the main Activity view: Search the current view.

Key: Ctrl+P
At the main Activity view: Open Search Zynk to find items and actions.

Key: Esc
At the main Activity view: Go back one layer, close a search or detail view, then return to the REPL from the main view.

Key: Ctrl+G
At the main Activity view: Return directly to the REPL. From the REPL, press it again to resume Activity.

Check the shortcuts at the bottom of the screen when using a picker, editor, or preview. At the REPL, Ctrl+P recalls the previous command.

Startup and keyboard preferences

Set startup-interface in your user config when you want plain zynk to open Activity. Explicit activity and repl commands, or --interface, override the preference for one launch.

Open Activity for one launch

$ zynk --interface activity

User config settings

The command-palette key defaults to Ctrl+P. For example, use ctrl-shift-p if your terminal reserves Ctrl+P. See Configuration for config paths and startup settings.
